And when I think of these Flagship Events of School of Inspired Leadership I am reminded of my selfish objectives of getting involved in these events - my Learning Plan's Action Points.
In my first draft of the Action Learning Plan I had mentioned the 2 of my Areas of Improvement:
> Habit of taking the back seat when I see someone more experienced in the team.
> Discomfort in delegation.
These events in particular happen to be the platforms wherein I could fight, practice & overcome my areas of improvements. That is certainly a personal assessment of the progress I have made in this regard, time will reveal the real improvement made. The objectives were concrete & so was the time taken & effort towards achieving them; and had it been my workplace, I think with an experience of 2.5yrs - I wouldn't have got a chance to experiment and explore my potential in these directions.
The idea is that one should be greedy about getting areas of improvements fixed, one should be ready to snatch & grab opportunities of improvements, who knows what event of life evolves as one of the turning points of your life. Live, Work & Play as if it was last day of your life & that you still have a lot to give before you hit your bed!
